The Lessons of the Past: part 1
I have had a few of my fellow Republicans question why I have worked so diligently with Bob Linn to investigate those individuals who knew, should have known or participated in the scandal at the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH). It is a simple answer: WE CANNOT REPEAT THE MISTAKES OF THE PAST. What I saw working in the Office of State Finance for Governor Frank Keating of the Democrat cabal that had controlled the state for nearly a century was a lesson in how a state can be exploited by people filling they and their friends pockets while limiting the future of Oklahoma.
I think we can point to a myriad of economic and demographic data that shows once the good old boy network of Stipes et al was replaced with new leadership the state has prospered. However, the success of the Republicans has already been tainted by a number of scandals and at least one that should have been but was swept under the rug. Of course I am referring to the OSDH’s most recent scandal.
