As advertised, Aaron Rodgers returned to the Pat McAfee show and responded to Jimmy Kimmel's angry rant. Here's a recap of everything up until now. I'd like to focus on something more important Rodgers said.
To tie a bow on Jimmy Kimmel and an ESPN VP apologizing for Rodgers' “dumb and factually inaccurate joke," the Jets QB understands why the late-night "comedian" would be offended by people thinking he was a pedophile. Rodgers was even complimentary of Kimmel, praising his impressiveness as "a man who went to Arizona State and has 10 joke writers who can read off a prompter."
But people, especially those in executive positions, could stand to learn a little media literacy. Clickbait is a mutha...
Aaron's comments on why he won't stop talking about the Fauci Era of American History, to me, are more important. Because this is never going to stop. For the rest of his career, anytime he does anything ever, people will bring up that time in 2022 when he went against the Left's narrative. The media will look for reasons to criticize anything he does ever for that reason as well. The media will do the same to Pat McAfee, who is an apolitical person I assign zero political motive to anything, just because he "platformed" Rodgers.
They'll never shut up about it, which works for Rodgers because neither will he.
"Well, let's see what happened. They locked everybody up ... it was supposed to be for a couple of weeks, but they looked everybody up. Hundreds of thousands of businesses closed and never opened again. Dozens of people I know in their thirties have poured everything into these small businesses and restaurants and bars and never opened again. So they lost everything."
This is key, and while all the focus is on Rodgers' medical decisions, long before he said the words "I'm immunized," he was speaking out about what the lockdowns did to peoples' livelihoods. From the beginning, he blasted the government the hypocrisy of, "Don't eat out at a restaurant unless you're wearing a mask and separate; oh, here's a picture of the governor of California violating those rules. Oh, public schools are closed, but I can send my kids to a private school in person."
In Rodgers' home state of California alone:
- California Health Secretary Admits Real Reason for Outdoor Dining Ban. HINT: It's Not Science...
- Health Inspector Caught Dancing After WRONGLY Shutting Down Brewery Over Lockdown Restrictions
- Restaurant Owner UNLOADS on LA Mayor Allowing Outdoor Dining for Movie Set as Her Business is Shut Down
"They lied to us many times over. They locked us up. They closed our businesses. They increased the mental health issues exponentially. The rates of suicide when straight up. They vilified us. I have a problem with that because now people are like 'just move on."
It's almost as if they would prefer he focus on the schmaccine more than all the other issues Rodgers brings up.
