The Supreme Court ruled last week unelected government bureaucrats couldn't regulate greenhouse gasses, and it was instead the job of elected representatives in Congress. Once again, the Clarence Thomas Court blocked leftists from ignoring the Constitution and forced them to do the jobs they were elected to do. Democrats hate that. For a look at Progressives' soggiest dreams, where there is no Constitution and an unelected bureaucratic elite rules over the little people, look no further than Europe and the Netherlands. Where a new cap on Nitrogen is going to destroy farms and jobs.
The Dutch government straight up says “The honest message … is that not all farmers can continue their business." So farmers showed up at the Minister for Nitrogen and Nature Policy's (that's a thing) house and sprayed manure on it.
Critics (and farmers) say the government’s new policy to slash nitrogen oxide and ammonia emissions would wreak havoc on the livestock industry. It's exactly what the World Economic Forum is lecturing countries to do as they also lecture us to quit meat and eat meat substitutes. Dutch farmers are fiery but mostly peaceful protesting against it. Here's a medley set to AC/DC's "Thunderstruck." Because, in all honesty, could you think of a better song?
American farmers are trying to warn US about skyrocketing food costs because of Joe Biden's policies that he blames on Putin. Now throw insane regulations on top that this White House would do if they could get away with it. What is happening in the Netherlands is what progressives want to happen here.
