The boycotts are working. It turns out the best way to get corporations to pull back on their pandering to radical progressives is to let them hear opposing voices that force them to choose. Go figure.
After watching Bud Light and Target lose tens of b-b-b-billions of dollars and effectively putting the BROKE in "get woke go broke," other companies are pulling back on their woke initiatives. Or, at least talking about their woke initiatives out loud. Hey, it's a start.
The Daily Mail is reporting there was a 31 percent drop in mentions of woke issues during earnings in the most recent quarter. There were almost 1,000 mentions of woke causes in earnings at the start of 1Q22. By QQ223, it's down to only 575 mentions.
Unfortunately, for now, JUST the mentions.
Although the companies appear to avoiding discussions on divisive issues as part of a larger strategy, there is little evidence to suggest that they are pulling back from actual sustainability initiatives which are still being performed in the background.
CEOs believe their company's ESG programs improve financial performance, but the way in which companies are conveying such messages is now being adjusted in an effort to avoid controversy.
Yes. They are adjusting how they convey those messages by being too embarrassed to talk about them out loud. Out of fear of losing tens of b-b-b-billions of dollars too. Yet, pandering to the most radical of the radical left still "improves financial performance?"
I am still calling it a win in a battle of a much larger war.
We saw it right after the Bud Light fiasco with Coca-Cola, where the board rejected an ESG proposal to target/attack pro-life states. Coca-Cola is a company that a few short years ago was shaming employees for being white. And this was when Bud Light's financial losses were only in the single-digit billions. Before Target's double-digit billion-dollar loss.
The Right, Normie-Americans, and typical apolitical people have to keep it up. Let these corporate chains owned by global corporations know if they want to engage in radical politics, there is a financial penalty for doing so. And also makes sure we are BUYcotting from local companies and brands whenever possible.
