One of Joe Biden's schemes to "lower" gas prices (outside of blaming Putin) was to release oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Biden's White House then took that oil meant to increase American energy and lower costs here, and sent it overseas. Because Joe Biden and the people who control Joe Biden are all boobs. Now his own party is speaking out.
California Rep. Ro Khanna, not exactly a moderate, doesn't understand why any American oil is going overseas when Americans are struggling with energy costs here at home. "People in my district, they’re talking to me about gas prices, they're talking to me about higher food prices, they're talking to me about the airlines getting canceled. People are not being able to get places. Those are the issues front and center."
Those are not the issues front and center with the Joe Biden White House.
Rep. Khanna's comments come after the report about our oil reserves going overseas, but before the report that some of the oil was sold to China and a Chinese company with ties to Hunter Biden (shout out to The Free Beacon). At the very least, none of the oil was sold to Russia. Russian energy prices are already much lower than ours.
I'm not sure where in the timeline the White House press secretary was asked about the White House selling our oil reserves overseas and had no idea what the reporter was talking about.
The national gas prices today are $4.72 a gallon. That is well over twice what they were when Joe Biden was sworn into office after campaigning on running the American gas energy industry out of business. You know, in case 81,000,000 of you want to start paying attention.
