The Democrats have been pushing their HR1 euphemistically titled “For the People Act,” which would federalize elections and all but ensure no future election can be trusted again. To pass it, they are pressuring members of their own party to help them nuke the filibuster, allowing them to run roughshod over the minority in the senate. All of this sounds like the actions of an incipient authoritarian movement, and one would be correct in identifying it as such.
To drive this point home, Representative Hakeem Jeffries decided to come right out and say it! They aren’t hiding the ball, ladies and gentlemen. They want total control. Take their own word for it.
Democrat Rep. Hakeem Jeffries says Democrats' federal elections takeover bill is "inspired by Hugo Chavez...Cesar Chavez."pic.twitter.com/vwLtYOMBYv— RNC Research (@RNC Research) 1642612052
“…inspired by Hugo Chavez… Cesar Chavez. We’re inspired by all of these leaders.”
You might hear his words and say, “Nah, it was just a slip-up. He mixed up the names. He couldn’t mean the socialist dictator of Venezuela.” He most certainly could. It’s a Freudian slip, guys. And it’s quite apropos.
According to the Council on Foreign Relations, Hugo Chavez came to power promising “to end corruption, vanquish poverty, and scrap Venezuela's old political system.” Sound familiar. And, as if the Democrats are presently attempting to emulate the late despot, Chavez rejected democracy—which is exactly what the progressives in our government are doing by proposing the sweeping federalization of elections in the United States.
The Democrats’ “voting rights” legislation is an unconstitutional power-grab, pushed by radicals throughout various levels of government to steal power away from the states, centralize it in the fed, and effectively make permanent a crooked government then able to affect the outcomes of federal elections. Biden said as much, too!
Don’t allow these tyrants to trick you. Our democratic republic depends on the electorate’s ability to see through all the political word games, the lies, and the media spin, to see the truth that lies before our eyes. There are people in your government that would have you toiling under a totalitarian regime. You need to #FightLikeHell.
