Elon Musk showed up at Twitter HQ today. Let that sink in.
(Folks, these are the jokes)
Prior to that, possibly while pooping, Musk used his new purchase to throw a few elbows at the New York Times and their latest ridiculous attempt to say something negative about the billionaire. Musk will be owner of Twitter on Friday, so the Times figured it would be good for SEO. In the past, Mama Musk has come to her baby boy's defense against the dastardly corporate media. Today, Musk had time to kill so he mocked the NYT on his own.
Per the journalismers at the NYT: "Elon Musk has emerged as a new, chaotic actor in global politics. The billionaire’s interventions in some of the world’s most combustible conflicts have sometimes been a boon, but his messages have also caused problems."
Musk was fascinated by how, if you change a few words, it is much more accurate: “The New York Times has emerged as a new, chaotic actor in global politics. The paper’s interventions in some of the world’s most combustible conflicts have sometimes been a boon, but their messaging has also caused problems.”
According to unnamed sources close to the matter who wish to remain anonymous, obvi!
Not that the paper is above admitting mistakes. Sometimes, it can take them a while.
There is also the time the paper sided with Hitler. But, hey. No one's perfect
The new "Chief Twit" is going to be busy this week. He just bought Twitter. How the New York Times spins it will be fascinating, as will what meme Elon Musk uses to respond.
