Grammy award-winning artist Macy Gray joined the TERF war over what it means to be a woman. Unlike Bette Miller, Gray knew what she was saying as the words came out of her mouth. You know this because she said, "Everybody is going to hate me." It's a reference to the ultra-insane woke activists who think any question of ideology is literally trans genocide... Literally.
Gray was being interviewed by Piers Morgan when the presenter asked her what a woman was. "A human being with boobs."
Gray had a more serious point to make. A point that, prior to the 2020s, would be called common sense and not a reason to trend nationwide on the bird app.
"Just because you go change your parts doesn’t make you a woman."
Gray went on to say “If you want me to call you a ‘her,’ I will because that’s what you want," before reiterating that it still doesn't make you a woman. The artist also says the word "transphobic" gets thrown around way too easily. "There is a lot of judgment and throwing stones at people for just saying what it is."
Common sense. But we live in a year where grown adults compete against ten-year-olds in sporting competitions, and we're supposed to ignore that because the adult is a "her" now. As of this writing, Gray hasn't left to go educate herself. It looks like she's standing her ground.
The truth shouldn't hurt. It should just be the truth. But again, it's 2022.
