Consumers, it’s time to start letting companies know what you think about their business practices by taking your money elsewhere. Companies like Nike and Apple profit from Chinese slave labor. Coca-Cola pushes woke indoctrination onto their employees. And the movie industry panders to the CCP. And now, Carhartt has chosen to force employees to take the jab.
In an email that went out Friday, the CEO of Carhartt announced that the company will be moving forward with its vaccine mandate, even after the SCOTUS rightly struct the federal mandate down.
“We put workplace safety at the very top of our priority list and the Supreme Court’s recent ruling doesn’t impact that core value. […] We, and the medical community, continue to believe vaccines are necessary to ensure a safe working environment for every associate and even perhaps their households. While we appreciate that there may be differing views, workplace safety is an area where we and the union that represents our associates cannot compromise. An unvaccinated workforce is both a people and business risk that our company is unwilling to take.”
Carhartt makes products used primarily by blue-collar American—people who are less than pleased with such measures being forced on employees. And, as one might expect, that demographic didn’t take so kindly the news that a company they frequently do business with was taking medical choice away from its employees.
Wow @Carhartt is subjecting their employees to medical abuse. Very bad look. Definitely should stop buying their products if you dopic.twitter.com/OyBdzQjwIK— ELIJAH SCHAFFER 🇺🇸🇦🇺 (@ELIJAH SCHAFFER 🇺🇸🇦🇺) 1642478586
Hey @Carhartt - you and your new clientele can kiss my country ass pic.twitter.com/2Bbop9Jahk— M2 (@M2) 1642514716
I spend thousands a year on @Carhartt hoodies, jackets & winter gear. Today that ends. I guess I am looking for alternatives. Seriously, this is insane given their target market. I am done purchasing any of their stuff and giving them thousands in free advertising.pic.twitter.com/kyHaNwlO6c— TheQuartering (@TheQuartering) 1642478959
Perhaps if enough of us make the same decision, Carhartt might remember who made them a success in the first place. Hint: it wasn’t the leftists who rarely buy their products. It’s worth a shot. I’m more of a Duluth Trading Company guy anyway.
