Your periodic reminder that not everyone in this world sucks. A woman had a medical episode while driving. Before she got into what could have been a life-threatening crash, bystanders ran into oncoming traffic in an attempt to save her. Video captured the heroism, and local news outlet WPBF 25 is hoping to honor these Samaritans.
The woman had an unknown medical episode while driving and slumped over her steering wheel. One of her co-workers happened to see it happen and ran into the road to stop traffic as the woman glided into the intersection.
The co-worker called for help from other motorists, who all ran into traffic to help. One of them had a dumbbell and smashed the window open. The team was able to steer the car safely into a nearby parking lot. A nurse on the scene called 911.
Police shared the video in the hopes of honoring the people who got out of their cars to help the woman and reunite them. One of them was identified as Davita Peele, who shared what happened to the local news outlet. No word on the other heroes who ran into the proverbial fire.
There have been a few stories like this so far in 2022. More happen when cameras aren't around. In this case, it was a security camera. Everyone was too busy helping to worry about going viral.
