Journalists have been consumed by vile rage towards Trump and anyone who supports him for quite some time now. Subsequently, they are no longer able to think clearly as their ceaseless efforts to delegitimize the former president get more unhinged by the minute.
If you have any leftist friends or relatives that you interact with, you probably have seen firsthand the damage that MSNBC can do to a person's mind. If you have seen seen, then you are probably well aware of the toxic phenomenon known as “Trump Derangement Syndrome” or TDS.
This syndrome holds onto the belief that Trump will one day morph into Hitler and it is not only a very real thing, but it is also very contagious.
Joe Scarborough made someominous predictions on how things would play out if Trump were to win a second term. And let’s just say things got a little unhinged.

Morning Joe started this morning by focusing on comparing Trump’s politics to fascism.
You know, because the left has equated nationalism to fascism and Nazism. Hence, they believe he is Hitler.
Scarborough then went from zero to 100 real quick and said that the media cannot treat Trump like a normal political candidate because “He is running to end American democracy as we know it.”
Because democracy takes a second term before it ends. That is definitely how long a dictator takes before they radically transform society.
“Just because [Trump] hasn’t done it yet doesn’t mean he won’t do it when he gets a chance to do it, he added.
Oh, never mind. His evidence is that “he might do it” because he “hasn’t done it yet.” Make sense, doesn't it?
That’s when Scarborough predicted what Trump would do to his political opponents if he had his way.
“He will imprison, he will execute whoever he is allowed to imprison, execute, drive from the country,” Scarborough said. “Just look at his past! It’s not really hard to read. Again, the only thing that stood between him and the destruction of American democracy was the federal judiciary.”
The lack of self-awareness is extremely infuriating.
The one correct thing he did say was that there is a reason we have a separation of powers. Our system was intended to be set up in a way that prevents a dictator from taking over.
That said, this sort of perpetual outrage and unhinged fear-mongering is the last thing journalists should be doing if they intend to attract moderate voters.
