There was a funeral for Sonny Barger, founder of the Hells Angels, over the weekend in Stockton (shout out to Nick and Nate). Barger passed away this past June from cancer. One of the eulogizers was Tucker Carlson. Yes, that Tucker Carlson.
Let's go right to the video. We'll discuss it when you're done.
Tucker never knew Barger. But Carlson's college roommate sent him a copy of Barger's letter to his wife and friends shortly before he passed. The words hit Carlson right in the feels: "Stand tall." "Stay loyal." "Remain free." "Value honor."
Tucker was so moved, he wanted to pay his respects.
Stand tall, stay loyal, remain free, and always value honor. And I thought to myself, if there's a phrase that sums up more perfectly what I want to be, what I aspire to be, and the kind of man I respect, I can't think of a phrase that sums it up more perfectly than that.
Why aren't we hearing that from those running the country? Why is it left to Sonny Barger to say "stand tall, stay loyal, remain free, and always value honor"?
Here we thought Tucker's collab with Kid Rock would be the oddest pairing of 2022. Nope! Not unlike a conservative Roddy Piper, when we think we have the answers, Tucker changes the questions.
Carlson is also spot on: these are words that ALL our leaders should be saying and living by. It's not surprising, though. They may not always look like it, but anyone who knows bikers knows they are based AF. They also believe strongly in supporting their community, do tons of charity, and all live by Barger's words.
Never judge a beard, full sleeves, and leather cuts by their cover.
Also, and I can't stress this enough, f*ck cancer.
