In response to an inquiry from Representative Lance Gooden, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Administrator David Pekoske has explained that illegal immigrants are allowed to use arrest warrants and warrants of removal/deportation as identification to board flights.
In a letter obtained by the Daily Caller, Pekoske writes, “TSA is committed to ensuring that all travelers, regardless of immigration status, are pre-screened before they arrive to the airport, have their pre-screening status and identification verified at security checkpoints, and receive appropriate screening based on risk before entering the sterile area of the airport.”
Pekoske stated that the aforementioned documents are used as identification in conjunction with database verification utilizing either the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) One application or the TSA’s National Transportation Vetting Center (NTVC) and undergo additional screening.
To ensure individuals are not on terror watchlists, the TSA reportedly uses its Secure Flight program. However, as the Daily Caller points out, these checks to ensure identity rely on CBP and/or U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and often these agencies “have to take migrants at their word that they are who they say they are.”
“If an identity cannot be verified through a database search, an airport’s Federal Security Director (FSD) is left to determine any extra screening process or decide to deny the individual entry.”
In light of these incredible revelations, Gooden remarked that “the Biden Administration is knowingly putting our national security at risk. […] Unknown and unvetted immigrants shouldn’t even be in the county, much less flying without proper identification.”
It should give everyone warm and fuzzy feelings to know that between January 1, 2021, and October 31, 2021, “the NTVC processed 45,577 non-citizens and non-U.S. nationals seeking validation of their DHS documents, 44,947 of which had their documents verified, [and] TSA used CBP One around 60,000 times between Jan. 1, 2021, and Oct. 31, 2021.”
That seems like a lot of people allowed to fly without proper identification. But I suppose Biden will do whatever he can to get illegals to all the places he wants them to be.
