It's the final countdown. Doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo doo...
For a few months, there has been talk of Brian Stelter being put out of our misery and fired from CNN, ever since Chris Licht was announced as the new president and wanting to make CNN suck less. Brian Stelter himself has been, allegedly, telling people. Licht has the reins and wants a less biased CNN. 90% of Brian Stelter's job is watching Fox News and complaining about it (the other 10% is telling Oliver Darcy to bring him his breakfast cheesecake before it gets too warm). Rumors and speculation now have Tater's remaining days at the network down to weeks, if not days.
What's interesting is that the reason we know about the changes Licht plans on making is that someone in CNN is leaking those changes to the media. Management has an idea who the leaker might be. Here's a hint: he's a potato.
In the past week, it's been leaked that biased hacks like Stelter and Jim Acosta are being reevaluated. It's also been leaked that Licht doesn't want CNN anchors to use "Big Lie" anymore, out of the odd belief that a news network shouldn't adopt Democratic talking points. Adopting Democratic talking points is all Stelter knows how to do. That doesn't make Stelter the leak. It only probably makes him the leak.
But what will happen to Brian Stelter? MSNBC has enough hacks to repeat Democratic talking points, only without looking like a foreskin. Media Matters has an entire division of people who do nothing but watch Fox News. I'm sure Tucker Carlson would find an opening for Stelter on his show, but I'm not sure if Stelter is interested in dressing up as an actual clown, though.
My hope is that Stelter resorts to becoming a YouTuber. You know he would hate suffering the indignity, and we'd still get the content.
