A "loving and artistic" twenty-year-old, Andrew "Teckle" Sundberg, was shot and killed by police after a six-hour standoff. Local activists have determined cops were in the wrong, and are protesting how Teckle's "mental health crisis" became a death sentence. The protest took place outside of the apartment building of Arabella Foss-Yarbrough. Arabella is the woman whose apartment Teckle fired a gun into and almost killed her in front of her two kids.
Oh, yeah. When you read headlines like "Neighbor of Black man in Minneapolis shot by police berates protesters: 'This is not OK!'," those are some of the details missing. It was an ARMED standoff after Sundberg almost killed a woman. And that woman wants to know why protesters are defending the guy. The guy, who tried to kill her in front of her two kids.
Foss-Yarbrough tried explaining this was not a George Floyd situation because George Floyd wasn't armed. Teckle, when he fired a gun into Foss-Yarbrough'ss apartment and then had a standoff with police, was armed. With a gun. The same gun he was armed with during an armed standoff.
As protesters are defending Teckle, Arabella is concerned with her children who now have to deal with a mental health crisis of their own after they almost lost their lives. "There’s bullet holes in my kitchen because he sat in the f*cking hallway watching me move. He tried to kill me in front of my kids.”
Her kids are black. Foss-Yarbrough is of black, Native-American, and white ethnicities. She asked the protesters “If I would have lost my life, would you guys do this for me?”
They responded yes. You and I both know they wouldn't.
