An alternate title for this post is 'Ligma Johnson Rising,' since The Rising was the latest to fall for the Ligma Johnson joke. The media is so desperate to find reasons to bash Elon Musk, they miss clever penis humor. Journalisming is in a sad state of affairs.
Twitter engineers Rahul Ligma and Daniel Johnson were among the first fired from Twitter under the Musk Regime. Intrepid reporters stationed outside of Twitter HQ were among the first to interview Ligma & Johnson. Realizing his mistake and that Twitter wasn't the same without Ligma & Johnson, Elon Musk welcomed Ligma & Johnson back with open arms. It wasn't a hard decision.
The Rising, a political podcast by The Hill (which is allegedly real journalism), saw the Ligma Johnson incident as an example that Musk is in over his head. Also, Ligma & Johnson didn't look happy to be back. You would think Ligma & Johnson would always be happy.
Musk was standing with two employees who were fired prematurely...
Her words, not ours.
Please continue.
...with his arms around them, kinda like 'hey, I know I should admit to my mistakes.' He realizes he's in a desperate situation where he realizes the singular genius is a myth...and the employees didn't look so happy in the photograph.
To the five of you who haven't been giggling as you did every time Richard Weiner would be called on in 8th-grade history class, these are trolls and The Hill missed the WELL PUBL:IZED first time they trolled. "Ligma" is short for "lick my," and "Johnson" is slang for what was up until recently was exclusively known as male genitalia.
Raoul Ligma, aka Daniel, shared a little about his Twitter experience.
Elon may have an idea.
At this point, I don't see how Elon DOESN'T give Ligma and Johnson jobs. Make up a position like most of the now former employees had. Make them co-press secretaries. They can go out every day and address the press camped outside.
Ligma and Johnson would go down in history as the first edgelords to troll their way to employment. America, and Twitter, would be better off for it.
