Cardi B isn't a secret conservative worthy of your newfound respect. Nor are we building monuments to her to replace Andrew Tate as our new icon. Ten bucks say this is the only thing she says that we'll agree with. But a good point is a good point. And a good point delivered to an apolitical audience of fans rarely exposed to good points matters.
Quick backstory. Cardi B, who is rich, complained about the price of groceries.
There is a broader point it would be nice if she realized.
For now, let's focus on the price of lettuce. Haters came after her for complaining about grocery costs since she's loaded and can afford the high prices. This is where Prof. Cardi B comes in with an economics lesson.
When I'm complaining about food prices and you motherf*ckers are like "ain't you rich? Why are you complaining about lettuce?" That just goes to show me when you become successful when you have money, you're gonna go broke because you're not budgeting. I get a summary of the money being spent in my home every week. So when I start to see that groceries are tripling up, what the f*ck is going on? I want to see for myself what the f*ck sh*t is being spent on.
And if she is noticing the skyrocketing prices -- keep in mind, her cohorts on the left think "inflation" is a word made up by republicans -- imagine what the middle class is struggling with. Cardi B has a sizable platform, so she's using it to draw attention to the issue. Not unlike how she did with the Ukraine-Russia skirmish.
Left-wing and/or apolitical celebrities having the sudden realization of how economics works is a good thing. As is them relaying this newfound information to their fanbase. The rub is getting them to stop supporting the leftist politicians whose policies cause these problems.
