Of all the dumb messages the Democrats can run on in 2022, I beg this is one of them. Rep. Ilhan Omar took a break from being an antisemite (according to her critics) to address a group of teachers' union members. Take a moment. Close your eyes. Think of all the suffering your children went through over the past two years at the hands of the teachers' union. Think of all the struggles and the delayed learning. Think of all the heartbreak and tragedy. Got it?
Ilhan Omar says no one understands the needs of your kids more than teachers' union members.
It's telling how the radical left, which is redundant because there is no moderate left, views the role of government in raising our children. Rep. Omar even said it, OUR children. She is the mother of three. A mother of three told a bunch of teachers' union members that they know more about her kids' needs than she does as their mother. Multiply that (does math on fingers) by every kid in a public school. This is what the left thinks. The teachers' union members who give Democrats millions upon millions of dollars know better than parents.
Teachers' union members have done nothing for the past two years but make it clear they only care about themselves. Even after Democrats dropped the charade and followed the political science to remove mask mandates. The teachers' unions demand they be kept in schools to "maintain a sense of safety and normalcy." SPOILER: They don't mean for your kids.
Please join me in praying to the gods of politics that THIS is the message with which the left runs. Even if it's just the more radical ones in the more radical districts. Candidates in normal districts can point to Ilhan Omar and say, "this is what they think where you live, too."
