People who talk on their speakerphones in public should be declared enemies of the state. When they are talking to the former President of the United States, I'll allow it. But only if you record the conversation for the rest of us. Golf legend John Daly was overheard with Donald Trump on speakerphone, and Trump had some interesting things to say about Russia and China.
"I said, 'Vladimir, if you do it, we're hitting Moscow.' I said, 'We're going to hit Moscow.' And he sort of believed me, like 5 percent, 10 percent; that's all you need. He never did it during my time. [...] I told [Chinese President Xi] the same thing. That'll be next, you know. [...] You won't have any computer chips–they'll blow them off the face of the earth."
The best part of this story is the part I made up in my mind of what happened prior to this hidden recording. John Daly is sitting there, throwing back a few John Dalys (lemonade, iced tea, and a healthy amount of vodka). Daly's bragging to his friends about how he has Donald Trump's number. His friends don't believe him, so Daly gets Trump on the phone, thinking Trump will talk about golf and what a horrible job Sleepy Joe Biden is doing. Instead, Trump talks about how he would have blown Russia and China to kingdom come.
It's not the only time Trump has made the news for private conversations. The media wet themselves over what the former president said to donors.
The whole ordeal makes me miss Donald Trump on Twitter. Yes, the wheels are coming off the planet. Joe Biden created a new war for oil. World War III is knocking on our door. It's unfair that only Trump's famous friends get to hear his thoughts on it.
