We at the Louder with Crowder Dot Com website are not ones for hyperbole, but this may be the greatest thing we've ever seen on Twitter. It involves Weird Al Yankovic, the poet laureate of America. There is a dash of Elon Musk. And you wrap it in the outrage over parodies now being banned on Twitter unless they are clearly marked parodies.
Yankovic made the announcement that actor Daniel Radcliffe, fresh off of throwing JK Rowling under the bus again, got himself SUSPENDED from Twitter.
Oh no, they suspended @danielradcliffe's Twitter account! Wasn't it obvious he was doing a PARODY???
Many of you reading this have a sense of humor and know where this is going. I ask that you please keep it to yourself until the end.
Upon hearing that Harry Potter was suspended from Twitter for a -- parody -- users were sent into a frenzy.
Some assumed it was political.
It's serious. That fascist Elon Musk went too far.
In all the outrage, there are a few factoids that are being left out.
That isn't Radcliffe's Twitter account. Radcliffe isn't on social media.
Radcliffe is currently starring in the biopic Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.
Weird: The Al Yankovic Story is a PARODY of a biopic about the life of Weird Al Yankovic, an artist known for his song PARODIES.
It's not that comedy is dead on Twitter. It's that some of you missed an obvious and brilliant joke, made more brilliant by you missing the obviousness of it.
Well played, Alfred. Well played.
