YouTube shut down the account of the LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT over a video attempting to find two suspects involved in a brutal assault.
Let that sentence percolate for a minute.
It was over this video.

YouTube suspended the channel for a POLICE DEPARTMENT over a video asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects in a brutal attack. The LAPD appealed the suspension. They were denied.

After there was a media outcry over it, YouTube reinstated the LAPD's channel. But the offending video remained taken down.

The LAPD isn't the only police department utilizing social media platforms to help catch criminals. It's a common practice. The police release a video of a bad thing happening. They ask for the public's help in helping find the perpetrators of the bad thing. YouTube shut down the LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT'S account over such a video as if they were haphazardly challenging Anthony Fauci or questioning election integrity.
An employee of YouTube was able to shut down an entire police department account AND uphold the suspension after (allegedly) reviewing it. Over a fourteen-second video that wasn't violent compare to all the other crap available on the streaming platform.
No idea why. The YouTube employee could have known one of the suspects. They could have gotten a speeding ticket on the way to work and been in a bad mood. Or, like most of the extremist progressive twats who work in Big Tech, they could have removed the police department's account in the name of equity. For the same reason Los Angeles officials stopped prosecuting crimes.
But let's not bury the lead. A Big Tech company was allowed to shut down an entire POLICE DEPARTMENT's account because at least one person working in that company didn't like one of the videos they uploaded.
It's f*cking insane and should be where congressional hearings come in.
