Four people were killed and at least eight others injured on Monday morning, after a gunman opened fire at the Old National Bank in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, according to police. The shooting took place at around 8:30 am close to the famous Louisville Slugger Field
Police arrived within minutes and the shooter was killed during an exchange of gunfire. A police officer was amongst those who were injured.
According to reports, the shooter is being described as a “disgruntled employee”
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear addressed the shooting during an emotional press conference, confirming that he lost two close friends in the shooting.
“This is awful,” said Beshear. “I have a very close friend that didn’t make it today. And I have another close friend who didn’t either, and another who’s at the hospital who I hope is going to make it through.”
