While the job market in the U.S. is looking more promising as the latest weekly jobless claims hit their lowest level since September 1969, there remains an ongoing concern about the country's labor shortage. Currently, there are 11 million job openings and employers across the country say they can't recruit people to work. Yet millions of Americans remain unemployed. On The FOX News Rundown earlier this week, Lisa Brady spoke to Mike Rowe, host of 'Dirty Jobs', about what the labor shortage in the U.S. says about the direction of work culture in this country and why we do not do enough to celebrate the blue-collar worker. Rowe gave his thoughts on the state of the country's labor market and explained why he thinks it is important his show gives a spotlight to Americans doing difficult, essential work. The original interview was too long and we couldn't include all of it in our segment. On The FOX News Rundown EXTRA, you will hear our entire conversation with Mike Rowe and hear more of his take on the job market and his many projects, including his hit new song, "Santa's Gotta Dirty Job".
