![]() Jaden Bray is leaving Stillwater, but he’ll be back for a game next season. Bray announced via X on Monday that he has committed to West Virginia out of the transfer portal. He caught 48 passes for 686 yards and four touchdowns in three seasons with Oklahoma State before entering the portal. The Mountaineers are set to make a trip to Stillwater next season. A 6-foot-2, 200-pound redshirt sophomore out of Norman, Bray had options in the portal, announcing offers to West Virginia, Washington State, Cincinnati, USF, Houston, TCU and Boston College before making Morgantown his new home. He becomes the third former OSU player to find a home out of the portal this season, joining Ricky Lolohea (Utah State) and Lardarius Webb Jr. (Tulane). Bray battled through injuries in his time at OSU, missing all but three games in the 2022 season. He suffered an injury coincidentally in Morgantown this season that kept him out for about a month, but he still enters bowl season as the Cowboys’ fourth-leading receiver with 382 yards. He was one of three Cowboys with multiple touchdown receptions this season. He joined the Cowboys as a three-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class. He caught 13 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns as a freshman in 2021. Brennan Presley, De’Zhaun Stribling, Talyn Shettron and Rashod Owens are among receivers able to return to OSU for next season. The Cowboys lost Bray and Blaine Green to the portal and would also lose Leon Johnson III to eligibility unless he is able to get a waiver. ![]() Read this original article at Pistols Firing Blog. ![]() Mike Tomlin says, “Rudolph, won’t you guide my offense Saturday night?” Tomlin, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ coach, announced Monday that former Oklahoma State quarterback Mason Rudolph will start the Steelers’ Week 16 matchup against the Bengals at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. However, regular starter Kenny Pickett could still play if healthy. “It’s our intention as we sit here today to give Mason Rudolph an opportunity to start,” Tomlin said. “He’s a veteran guy. He’s a backup, but he’s also a veteran guy. He’s been in our program a long time. He’s here for those reasons. We’ve got a great deal of comfort with him.”
The move comes after Pickett was sidelined because of injury the last two weeks and Mitch Trubisky has been lackluster as Pickett’s replacement. Rudolph replaced Trubisky late in the Steelers’ 30-13 loss to the Colts on Saturday. He was 2-of-3 for three yards and was sacked once in two possessions leading the offense. Rudolph has been with the Steelers since they drafted him in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Most of Rudolph’s experience came in 2019 when he appeared in 10 games and started eight, throwing for 1,765 yards, 13 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He hasn’t started more than one game in a season since. Many Steeler fans have clamored for Rudolph to start this season, even when Pickett was healthy, arguing Rudolph was never given a real chance. In his only season with real opportunity, Rudolph became only the third quarterback since the 1970 NFL-AFL merger to record a passer rating of at least 81.4 and throw a touchdown in his first seven career starts. He was also the fifth quarterback since the merger to throw a touchdown in his first eight games. Rudolph is the winningest quarterback in OSU history at 32-9. He left Stillwater holding the Cowboys’ single-season and career records for passing yards, passing touchdowns and pass efficiency. Former OSU running back Jaylen Warren has also been getting significant playing time in the Steelers’ backfield. ![]() Read this original article at Pistols Firing Blog. ![]() The Cowboys are in search of a tight end in the transfer portal, and they offered a big-bodied transfer from the MAC on Sunday. Ohio’s Tyler Foster — listed at 6-foot-7, 249 pounds — announced an Oklahoma State offer. Foster had 33 receptions for 396 yards and four touchdowns over the past two seasons for the Bobcats. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
Out of Pickerington, Ohio, Foster had 211 receiving yards on 20 catches this past season as Ohio went 10-3. He had a nine-yard reception in Ohio’s Myrtle Beach Bowl win against Georgia Southern. As a junior last season, Foster had four touchdown catches on 13 season receptions. He also had 185 receiving yards as a junior. He scored the Bobcats’ game-winning touchdown in last season’s Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl.
Foster was a three-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting class, listed as the No. 775 player in the cycle. He chose the Bobcats over offers from Akron, Ball State, Army, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan and others. After redshirting in 2019, Foster played in 14 games across the 2020 and 2021 seasons. The Cowboys are in search of a tight end because Josiah Johnson will run out of eligibility after the Texas Bowl. Johnson has caught 21 passes for 163 yards and a touchdown this season. ![]() Read this original article at Pistols Firing Blog.
