We’ve known what color combination the Cowboys would don against the Horned Frogs for some time, but leave to OSU’s stellar equipment staff to pull a new twist on an old favorite.
The Cowboys will wear an all-black uniform set capped by a Pistol Pete helmet and special commemorative patch to signify Barry Sanders’ induction into the Ring of Honor at Boone Pickens Stadium.
The Cowboys are 8-4 all-time when going all-black. The Cowboys last work black-black-black against Texas in 2020. OSU has never worn this color combination with this specific helmet since updating the uniforms in 2015.
