For just the third time since the start of the 2019 season, Chuba Hubbard was held under 100 rushing yards Saturday.
That in itself is an impressive stat, but Hubbard’s 72-yard performance Saturday brought his career yard per game total down from 110.4 to 109.2, still good for third in Oklahoma State history behind Barry Sanders (118.7) and Terry Miller (113.2).
Rank | Name | Yards Per Game (No. of Games) |
---|---|---|
1 | Barry Sanders | 118.7 (32) |
2 | Terry Miller | 113.2 (42) |
3 | Chuba Hubbard | 109.2 (31) |
4 | Thurman Thomas | 106.4 (47) |
5 | Justice Hill | 98.3 (36) |
6 | David Thompson | 98.1 (44) |
7 | Gerald Hudson | 97.5 (30) |
8 | Dantrell Savage | 95.1 (22) |
9 | Worley Taylor | 92.4 (24) |
10 | Kendall Hunter | 89 (47) |
It looked like Hubbard had a good shot at catching Tatum Bell on OSU’s career rushing yards list this week, but the 72 yards Hubbard managed left him 25 yards short.
Still, if Hubbard runs for his season average (110 yards a game) in OSU’s final five games of the year, he would finish with 4,484 career rushing yards. That number would be good for third all-time.
Rank | Name | Yards |
---|---|---|
1 | Thurman Thomas | 5,001 |
2 | Terry Miller | 4,754 |
3 | David Thompson | 4,318 |
4 | Kendall Hunter | 4,181 |
5 | Barry Sanders | 3,797 |
6 | Ernest Anderson | 3,780 |
7 | Justice Hill | 3,539 |
8 | Tatum Bell | 3,409 |
9 | Chuba Hubbard | 3,384 |
10 | Joseph Randle | 3,085 |
Lastly, this was the first game this season Hubbard didn’t rush for a touchdown (he did have a receiving TD). His career total of rushing scores remains at 33, one off of a three-way tie with Bell and Jeremy Smith for sixth on OSU’s career list.
Rank | Name | Touchdowns |
---|---|---|
1 | Barry Sanders | 53 |
2 | Terry Miller | 49 |
3 | Thurman Thomas | 47 |
4 | Joseph Randle | 40 |
5 | Kendall Hunter | 37 |
T6 | Tatum Bell | 34 |
T6 | Jeremy Smith | 34 |
8 | Chuba Hubbard | 33 |
9 | Justice Hill | 30 |
10 | Bob Fenimore | 28 |
