Oklahoma State moved up the same number of spots in the Coaches Poll (3) as it did in the AP poll (3) on Sunday afternoon and now holds the same ranking (No. 7) in both polls on the heels of the bye week.
It’s the highest AP ranking for the Pokes since Week 4 of the 2017 season, when they were ranked No. 6 nationally. They sit one spot behind Ohio State, which has yet to play a game this season.
They are one of only three teams within the Big 12 ranked in the poll, with Iowa State and Kansas State coming in at No. 20 and No. 22, respectively. After a defensive-optional Red River rivalry game on Saturday, both Texas and OU are out of this week’s rankings.
