Ollie Gordon on Monday made his first public comments since being arrested last week.
He shared this on his social media platforms:

Gordon, 20, was arrested on June 30 for DUI under 21 years of age, transporting an open container of alcohol, failing to maintain a single lane of traffic and speeding. Gordon or anyone from Oklahoma State had not commented on the situation before Gordon’s statement.
Gordon’s statement comes just a day before he’s scheduled to represent OSU at Big 12 Football Media Days on Tuesday in Las Vegas. It was announced last Monday that Gordon would be one of four OSU players, along with coach Mike Gundy, to make the trip to Vegas. That night was when the first report of Gordon’s arrest surfaced, though, leading some to believe the Big 12 Preseason Offensive Player of the Year would stay in Stillwater instead. However, OSU announced Monday morning that Gordon will still be attending media days with quarterback Alan Bowman and linebackers Nick Martin and Collin Oliver.
Gordon enters the 2024 season as a Heisman candidate after leading the country in rushing yards last season and being named the Doak Walker Award winner and a consensus All-American. He was also Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year in 2023.
