The Cowgirls will take to the diamond in less than a month, and they’ll do so as a Top-15 team.
Softball America released its preseason poll on Thursday, which had the Cowgirls as the No. 14 team in the country. That puts Oklahoma State fourth among Big 12 conference members behind No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 7 Texas and No. 11 Baylor. Here is the full ranking:

The Cowgirls have made four straight Women’s College World Series, joining the Sooners as the only teams to have made the past four.
OSU will have a bit of a new-look squad in 2024. Returning stars like Lexi Kilfoyl and Tallen Edwards will be complimented by newcomers like two-time ASUN Player of the Year Caroline Wang and McNeese transfer Jilyen Poullard.
OSU opens its 2024 season with a Feb. 8 matchup against Cal State-Northridge before participating in the Lynn Russell Miller Classic in Riverside, California. The Cowgirls’ first home game is Feb. 27 against South Dakota State.
