The Cowboys will come out of the tunnel on Senior Day in style.
OSU is wearing a tri-color black-orange-white uniform combination for its regular season finale against West Virginia. It’s just the third time OSU has donned this look. But it should pop next to the Mountaineers’ blue-white-white look.
OSU is 2-0 all-time in B-O-W, with both previous times coming on homecoming weekend. OSU defeated West Virginia with the Jimmy Johnson-era OSU brand helmets in 2016 and then Kansas last year in 2021, sporting the 1960s-style numbered lids.
For those keeping score in an effort to predict a future helmet mainstay, OSU has worn a brand helmet now four times this season, tying the Cursive Cowboys. Behind are Patriot Pete (two), Phantom Pete (one) and the Bucking Bronco (one).
