Mike Gundy’s guys just got extended and his main guy got even more.
Each of Oklahoma State’s 10 football assistants received a new two-year contract with raises for the nine returning on-field assistant coaches The Oklahoman’s Scott Wright reported Wednesday.
OSU’s strength and conditioning coach Rob Glass received an updated five-year deal which increases his salary to $1.1 million and includes a $100,000 yearly raise on a contract that runs through 2028. He was already the nation’s highest-paid strength coach.
Gundy’s nine returning on-field assistants each earned a raise of at least $25,000. Some highlights include offensive coordinator Kasey Dunn’s bump to $1 million annually and defensive coordinator Bryan Nardo’s $50,000 raise which brings him up to $700,000. New defensive line coach Paul Randolph’s two-year deal is worth $475,000 per year.
Gundy’s five-year rollover deal remains the same according to the contracts obtained by The Oklahoman and USA Today.
Despite entering his 20th year at the helm, Gundy doesn’t appear to be loosening his grip on the Cowboys’ reins, especially with a chance to claim his spot atop the new-look Big 12. So it makes sense that OSU would try to retain its consistency, a strength in a league in flux.
