Oklahoma State running back Chuba Hubbard has been near the top of offseason discussions since the conclusion of the Texas Bowl last December. The nation's leading rusher from 2019 later announced he would return to Stillwater for at least another season in hopes of helping the Cowboys to a Big 12 Championship — maybe more. Then, in June, came the brief boycott of the football team and any affiliation with the university after a photo surfaced of head coach Mike Gundy wearing a One America News Network shirt while on a fishing trip. The incident between the two subsided after a video was posted of both Gundy and Hubbard apologizing for how the situation was handled and that they were working together to resolve the issue.
