Tulsa police major, department respond to controversial comments during radio interview

Tulsa Police Major Travis Yates is coming under fire after an article by Public Radio Tulsaclaimed he said police shoot black Americans "less than we probably ought to" in a radio interview. In a statement, he said the article "misquoted" him and is a "libelous claim. " Yates said he's looking to file a lawsuit. He released the following statement in response to the article:
